February 6th of 2023 will forever mark the Turkish and Syrian people as one of the darkest days in their history.

It was 17 minutes past 4 am (local time) when the first earthquake occurred, about 35 km from the city of Gaziantep, with a magnitude of 7.8. A few hours later, the second earthquake hit, this time with a magnitude of 7.5.
If the scenario in the first hours was devastating, the number of deaths continues to rise daily due to the aftershocks that have been registered, already exceeding the 50,000 barrier.
